This position focuses on the daily operations and maintenance of firewall, Prisma, F5, and routing and switching environments. You will be instrumental in ensuring stable and secure network operations by designing, validating, and troubleshooting network traffic flows and security configurations. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, providing advanced technical escalation support for network and security engineers. You will deliver comprehensive operational support for enterprise network and security environments across multiple clients, troubleshooting complex issues with Palo Alto Firewalls, Prisma/GlobalProtect, Routing & Switching, and F5.

Key duties include performing advanced troubleshooting using packet captures and logs, writing custom queries for reporting, and supporting daily operations such as change management and on-call rotations. You will also conduct health checks, perform system maintenance like upgrades and patching, review firewall rule sets for enhanced security, and manage security incidents from detection to resolution. Developing clear remediation plans and ensuring compliance with SLAs and ITIL best practices are essential. Proactively recommending improvements to optimize network security and firewall operations is also a key aspect of this role.

A seasoned Network and Security Architect with over 12 years of hands-on experience in network troubleshooting, including at least 5 years in network and security administration. Extensive experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, Prisma Access/SASE, Cisco routing and switching, F5, SD-WAN, and AWS networking is required. Proficiency in routing protocols like EIGRP and BGP, along with switching technologies, is essential.

Candidates should possess a deep understanding of Palo Alto architecture, including templates, stacks, Global Protect, and advanced troubleshooting techniques. Experience in network design is a significant advantage. Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks such as SOX, PCI, and HIPAA, along with excellent time management and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively, are also crucial. The ability to work independently in a remote support setting and collaborate across teams is vital.
