This role is central to supporting millions of Internet users worldwide. You'll be involved from the ground up, overseeing network assets across data centers and points of presence, from site acquisition through to installation and commissioning.
As a Network Implementation Engineer, your primary duties include building and operating Google's network with a focus on reliability and scale. You will execute the deployment and maintenance of private data networks internationally. This involves developing innovative solutions to optimize operational costs, closely monitoring network performance, and proactively addressing issues.
You will also be responsible for maintaining comprehensive network documentation and updating network designs and plans to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Telecom Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. A minimum of 2 years of experience in network operations, supporting and troubleshooting enterprise or service provider networks is essential.
Proficiency in routing protocols, network troubleshooting, and Multiprotocol Label Switching is required. Experience using standard tools to support multi-vendor networks, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless controllers, is also a key requirement for this role.
