Join our team as a Network Engineering Advisor to safeguard Citi's critical perimeter security infrastructure, encompassing firewalls, proxies, and SASE technologies.

This role involves the end-to-end management of firewall, proxy, and SASE changes, from initial request handling and scheduling through to implementation in the production environment, all while meticulously addressing customer requirements. You'll be instrumental in analyzing and resolving issues, ranging from routine operational challenges to critical failures, ensuring adherence to established service level targets.

Our robust perimeter security ecosystem includes advanced firewall, proxy, remote access, and intrusion detection systems. Your responsibilities will extend to the thorough investigation, documentation, and swift resolution of outages impacting vital business systems, as well as coordinating escalations and tracking progress with cross-functional Citi technical teams. You will also manage escalated incidents from the L1 team, potentially involving complex change schedules, software upgrades, and configuration activities.

Execute daily firewall, proxy, and SASE changes, managing the entire lifecycle from request to implementation.

Perform in-depth problem analysis and resolution for both routine and critical infrastructure failures, meeting stringent service level agreements.

Investigate, document, and resolve outages within Citi's perimeter security infrastructure, including firewalls, proxies, and intrusion detection systems.

Escalate technical issues effectively and monitor progress across various Citi technical teams.

Address and resolve incidents escalated from the Level 1 support team, which may involve coordinating multiple changes and system upgrades.

Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting CheckPoint and Palo Alto firewalls, as well as BlueCoat and Squid proxies.

Experience with Zscaler SASE, ZTE, Active Directory, and networking protocols like BGP is essential.

Skilled in network traffic analysis using tools such as tcpdump, pcap, and Wireshark.

Solid understanding of Linux/Unix environments is required.

Essential to possess a strong grasp of Enterprise Change, Incident, and Problem Management principles.

Demonstrate exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, and quantitative skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Exhibit flexibility, the ability to multitask effectively, and seek guidance when necessary.

Communicate clearly and effectively through both verbal and written channels.

Ability to collaborate seamlessly with remote colleagues in different countries.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications such as CheckPoint, Juniper firewalls, CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP are advantageous. This position requires 3-6 years of related experience.
