EY's Managed Services "AI for AI" Team seeks a Senior Consultant, Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE). This role focuses on designing, building, and deploying AI-powered solutions for clients, addressing complex business challenges using AI, Automation, and Data Engineering technologies. You'll drive value across diverse sectors including Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Retail, and Finance.

This is an individual contributor role for an elite engineer who excels in ambiguous settings and prefers hands-on system building. You will translate business problems into production-grade AI solutions, leveraging extensive experience with Generative AI, AI/ML, and Data Science on various enterprise and hyperscaler AI platforms.

Lead end-to-end AI/GenAI solution deployments for strategic clients, from initial discovery and design to full production rollout. Develop LLM-driven applications, RAG systems, and agentic workflows to deliver measurable business impact. Innovate by creating reusable accelerators and frameworks for enterprise GenAI implementations, enabling rapid experimentation and broad adoption of AI, data, and cloud platforms through hands-on engineering leadership.

Collaborate with client business and engineering teams to transform complex challenges into actionable GenAI solutions. Act as a trusted technical advisor to senior client stakeholders. Design and build advanced AI applications, including copilots and assistants, and integrate them with enterprise data platforms, APIs, and external systems. Optimize solutions for performance, cost, accuracy, scalability, security, and compliance. Transform proofs-of-concept into robust, enterprise-ready platforms. Architect scalable, reliable cloud-native systems and develop best practices for GenAI adoption.

We are looking for a Senior Consultant with 3-5 years of intensive, hands-on engineering experience in software development, data engineering, or AI/ML. Essential skills include expert-level Python proficiency for high-performance applications, and proven experience building, deploying, and operating production-grade systems. You must have demonstrated success delivering client-facing projects in challenging, ambiguous environments, with a strong foundation in distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and cloud-native architectures.

Excellent communication skills are vital, enabling effective interaction with both technical teams and business stakeholders. Previous client-facing experience is mandatory. Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with LLM APIs, RAG architectures, vector databases, agentic workflows, and integrating AI systems with enterprise data platforms. Exposure to AI ecosystems like OpenAI, Claude, and hyperscalers such as Azure, AWS, and GCP is highly desirable, as is experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and building 0 to 1 AI products.
