This pivotal role focuses on developing and implementing cutting-edge acquisition, reconstruction, and analysis techniques to enhance imaging speed and robustness. You'll leverage pulse sequence design, AI-driven reconstruction algorithms, and intelligent post-processing. This position involves close collaboration with academic partners, internal scientists, and engineering teams to conduct original research, demonstrate clinical value, and transition prototypes into market-ready solutions. Drive innovation by designing and implementing advanced MR acquisition, reconstruction, and post-processing methods to significantly improve scan speed, image quality, motion robustness, and clinical utility.
Act as the technical lead for critical academic and clinical collaborations, ensuring research objectives align with GE HealthCare's product strategy and facilitating rigorous scientific evaluation.
Spearhead research and prototype development in areas such as accelerated imaging, motion correction, non-Cartesian imaging, quantitative imaging, and AI-enabled reconstruction techniques.
Facilitate the successful translation of validated prototypes into product-ready solutions by collaborating closely with internal engineering, regulatory, and marketing teams.
Contribute original research through invention disclosures, peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and internal knowledge sharing initiatives.
Effectively communicate technical analyses, experimental findings, and strategic recommendations to GE HealthCare leadership, engineering teams, clinical stakeholders, and academic collaborators.
Possess a Master’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics.
Bring a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience applying theoretical or practical knowledge to solve complex challenges in MR image acquisition, reconstruction, image processing, or related application development.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of MR physics, encompassing pulse sequences, acquisition techniques, k-space sampling, reconstruction strategies, image artifacts, and clinical imaging requirements.
Exhibit proficiency in modern programming languages like Python or C++, machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, containerized software environments, version control systems, and AI development tools.
Maintain a solid foundation in signal processing, inverse problems, and numerical optimization principles.
Exhibit the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
Possess excellent collaboration skills and a strong commitment to shared team objectives.
Demonstrate a proactive, self-driven, flexible, and intellectually curious mindset, eager to acquire new skills and tackle challenges to achieve business goals.
Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.
