NTT DATA is seeking a skilled Messaging Services Advisor specializing in M365 to join our dynamic team in Bangalore, India. This role is crucial for managing and supporting our messaging infrastructure, ensuring high-quality service delivery.

The advisor will apply a broad range of theories and principles to identify customer needs and manage complex systems. A key aspect of this position involves providing steady-state support, handling critical escalations, and performing essential server maintenance. You will also act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on M365 messaging technologies, including SharePoint Online, SharePoint On-Premises, and OneDrive for Business.

This position demands a customer-centric approach, excellent communication, and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will be energetic, self-motivated, and adept at solving complex technical challenges. Flexibility to work in shifts supporting 24x7 or US business hours is required.

Key responsibilities include providing expert-level support for the M365 messaging infrastructure, managing on-call duties, and addressing critical issues and escalations. You will perform regular server maintenance, mentor team members, and oversee day-to-day support operations.

This role involves in-depth analysis of messaging technologies, including SharePoint Online architecture, site collection administration, and permission models. You will also manage security hardening, patch management, and collaborate on search and content management configurations.

Responsibilities extend to utilizing monitoring tools, generating reports, and automating tasks using PowerShell for SharePoint and OneDrive environments. Integrating SharePoint with other M365 services and establishing organizational policies for data retention and security are also vital aspects of this role. Collaboration with Microsoft support for tenant-level issues is expected.

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, coupled with a minimum of 8 years of experience in M365 workload administration and support. Strong proficiency in M365 services, particularly SharePoint Online and Security & Compliance, is essential.

Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are mandatory. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of M365 services and features, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. A Microsoft 365 certification is highly desirable.

Required technical skills include health checks, server capacity management, and proactive configuration support. Expertise in SharePoint Online architecture, site collection administration, permissions, and the broader M365 ecosystem is crucial. Experience with PowerShell scripting for management and automation is also necessary. Familiarity with monitoring tools and generating reports is expected.
