This role is for a Senior MES Functional Consultant, requiring a client-facing professional with over 10 years of experience. The focus is on scaling MES programs by translating shop-floor business needs into effective functional designs, particularly within manufacturing environments. A strong understanding of manufacturing processes and solution architecture is essential.

The Senior MES Functional Consultant will be responsible for gathering and documenting business and functional requirements for MES rollouts across new production lines. Key duties include defining use cases for production execution, monitoring, quality, and traceability; performing fit-gap analysis against Opcenter configurations; and preparing functional design specifications and test scenarios.

The role also involves collaborating with development and integration teams, supporting training and UAT activities, and acting as a primary liaison between client stakeholders and the Birlasoft technical team.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is required, with equivalent experience considered. Candidates must possess 10+ years of MES functional consulting experience, ideally with Siemens Opcenter.

Essential skills include a strong understanding of manufacturing processes (production execution, quality, traceability, inventory), experience with requirement and design documentation, and familiarity with ISA-95 and MES best practices. Excellent stakeholder communication and client-facing experience are crucial.
