Medical coding is essential for creating a universal language in healthcare, facilitating clear communication between facilities and ensuring accurate record-keeping of diagnoses, procedures, and patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities include thoroughly reviewing patient documentation to understand diagnoses and services provided. You will accurately translate healthcare data into standardized medical codes, contributing to uniform documentation practices across medical facilities. A core part of the role involves identifying trends in documentation deficiencies and providing constructive feedback to the team, acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for junior colleagues.

This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in the Healthcare BPO sector, specifically within outpatient multispecialty coding. A CPC certification is mandatory. Proficiency in EM outpatient coding and multispecialty/procedure codes is essential. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills to identify documentation deficiencies and provide audit feedback. Experience with Windows PC applications and effective oral and written English communication skills are also necessary.
