In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately translating healthcare documentation into universal alphanumeric codes. This process is crucial for creating a standardized vocabulary that describes diagnoses, illnesses, and outcomes, ensuring uniform documentation across medical facilities. Your expertise will directly contribute to the efficiency and clarity of patient record management.

Your primary responsibilities will include meticulously reviewing patient documentation to grasp diagnoses and transforming healthcare information—including diagnoses, procedures, medical services, and equipment—into standardized medical codes. You will also be tasked with identifying trends in documentation deficiencies and providing valuable feedback to the team, potentially serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for emerging coders.

We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare BPO, specifically within EM outpatient multispecialty environments, and a mandatory CPC certification. Proficiency in EM outpatient coding, multispecialty coding, and procedure codes is essential. You should possess a strong ability to identify and report documentation deficiencies and provide constructive audit feedback. Prior experience using Windows PC applications and effective oral and written English communication skills are also required. Flexibility for potential overtime and weekend work, adapting to business needs and client requirements, is expected.
