Responsibilities

Spearhead technical leadership for the complete lifecycle of complex imaging systems, from design and development through validation, ensuring top-tier performance, reliability, quality, and patient safety.

Drive innovation in mechanical architecture, thermal management, structural design, mechatronics, and advanced materials to enhance product competitiveness.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Systems, Electrical, Software, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory to ensure timely and cost-effective product delivery.

Maintain meticulous design documentation aligned with quality management systems and design control processes. Proactively resolve critical technical challenges, conduct thorough design reviews, product safety analyses, risk assessments, and root-cause investigations for both product and field issues.

Champion engineering excellence by leveraging simulation-driven design, DFM/DFA principles, and cost optimization strategies for continuous product improvement. Mentor fellow engineers, shape technology roadmaps, and contribute to intellectual property and platform strategies for next-generation imaging technologies. Develop pioneering technologies, including additive design/manufacturing and AI-powered engineering solutions, to build sustainable competitive advantages and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering is required, coupled with a minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years specifically in healthcare product development.

Demonstrated expertise across various domains such as structural analysis, CAD/CAM, thermal flow, acoustics, injection molding, bolted joints, suspended mass, and tool development.

Possess strong knowledge of supply chain, manufacturing, and assembly processes, alongside proven experience in global product releases through multiple NPI cycles and resolving installed base issues.

Excellent analytical capabilities and proficiency in mechanical calculations and motion control drives are essential. Outstanding communication, collaboration, judgment, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as mentoring capabilities, are expected.
