Provide unparalleled technical leadership in the design, development, and validation of intricate imaging systems, ensuring peak performance, reliability, and patient safety.
Drive innovation in core mechanical areas, including architecture, thermal management, structural integrity, mechatronics, and advanced materials.
Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including Systems, Electrical, Software, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory to achieve on-time and on-budget product delivery.
Uphold rigorous design documentation standards within established quality management systems and design control frameworks.
Tackle critical technical obstacles, lead design reviews, conduct thorough product safety and risk assessments, and perform root-cause investigations for product and field issues.
Champion engineering best practices, leveraging simulation-driven design, DFM/DFA principles, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Mentor fellow engineers, shape technology roadmaps, and contribute to the company's intellectual property and platform strategies for next-generation imaging solutions.
A Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering is required, coupled with a minimum of 15 years of comprehensive engineering experience, including at least 5 years focused on healthcare product development.
Proficiency is expected in multiple mechanical engineering domains such as structural analysis, CAD/CAM, thermal flow, acoustics, injection molding, bolted joints, suspended mass analysis, and tool development.
Strong expertise in supply chain operations, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques is essential.
Proven track record of successfully launching global products through multiple New Product Introduction (NPI) cycles and resolving complex installed base issues.
Exceptional analytical skills are a must, alongside demonstrated expertise in mechanical calculations and motion control drive systems.
Outstanding communication, collaboration, judgment, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity for mentoring others.
