This role is within our TMT (Technology, Media & Entertainment, and Telecommunications) sector, addressing the dynamic challenges and opportunities in industry convergence. As part of our Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) tax team, you will navigate complex global tax landscapes and provide connected services across all tax disciplines.

Drive the development and implementation of account strategies for Direct Tax (DT) offerings within targeted industry and market segments. Spearhead the creation and sale of new solutions, such as managed services and technology solutions, as part of our Go-To-Market initiatives. Enhance internal and external awareness of EY's DT services through branding efforts and support proposal and presentation development. Foster strong relationships across all Service Lines and with the Business Development team to identify new client opportunities and drive sales. Monitor and report on sales opportunities, pipeline, and wins. Identify cross-selling opportunities for Tax, Company Secretarial, and other services. Lead and coordinate assignment planning, including pricing, billing, and recovery, maximizing fee opportunities under Partner guidance. Develop sound, value-based solutions and apply technical expertise to complex client challenges. Understand macro and strategic client issues, industry trends, and economic conditions.

Develop specialized technical competence and gain recognition within your service line. Contribute to firm profitability by generating additional work from existing clients and supporting new client proposals. Identify and act on referrals within your Service Line. Provide clients with insights on market trends and emerging practices. Lead risk management efforts and ensure compliance with strategies. Actively participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives and contribute to process improvements. Proactively take on leadership roles, mentor team members, and help resolve people issues. Lead the hiring of talent and mentor a team of 5-8 members.

We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant with 5-6 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Corporate Tax, Personal Tax, or International Tax. Essential skills include strong analytical ability, a logical and problem-solving approach to complex issues, and excellent marketing and business development capabilities. A deep understanding of competition and competitor strategies, coupled with sector knowledge and industry perspective, is crucial. You should possess strong technical competence in Tax and your specialized field, along with robust leadership skills to foster a high-performance climate, serving as a role model, mentor, and coach. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional services environment is key.

Ideally, you will also have excellent managerial, organizational, analytical, verbal/written communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills. You should be comfortable interacting with senior executives and demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and creativity.
