Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include technical excellence in project initiation, financial setup, and maintenance, ensuring compliance with policies and contract terms. You will be accountable for project financial closure, leading audit reporting and analysis, and ensuring accurate revenue recognition. Regular review of margins, work-in-progress, debtors, and cash flow is essential.

Responsibilities extend to ensuring intercompany payables and receivables are reconciled, and prompt payments are made. You will act as a liaison between Accounts Payable and projects for invoice coding and timely accruals. Creating and validating forecasts and budgets for chargeable hours, rates, and margins, alongside producing trend and variance reports, is crucial. Gathering project accruals, provision information, and owning the accuracy of financial data reported in monthly reports through collaboration with project teams are key functions.

Further duties involve working closely with project controls, finance analysts, operations, and billing coordinators to produce monthly reports, estimates, and improve project administration processes. You will partner with project teams to manage costs and risks, identifying and implementing cost reductions. Ensuring an effective invoicing plan to maximize DSO, reviewing DSO reports, and developing corrective action plans are vital.

You will collaborate with customers to confirm invoice receipt, approval, and action, providing status updates. Input into cash forecasts for accuracy and appropriate challenge to expedite collections, as well as reviewing WIP/AR reports with Project Managers for timely billing and collection, are expected.

Attesting and reviewing project transaction documents and accounts for accuracy and completeness, including sub-charges, data sheets, time reports, expenses, and subcontractor invoices, is required. Ensuring accurate production of customer invoices, credit notes, and backup documentation, and verifying that billings do not exceed approved budget limits, while resolving issues with Project Managers and Project Controls, are also part of the role. Driving timely recording of 3rd party vendor invoices is essential.

Commercial support involves actively participating in project reviews to challenge financial and commercial health. You will interpret commercial terms and conditions, including FX, tax, credit, and system implications on bids and tenders for accurate costing and revenue recognition. Completing working papers for contingency and provision usage, accrual, and draw-down, as well as addressing project incentives, is necessary.

Identifying areas for potential project gross margin improvement, ensuring accurate cost recovery as per contract, and minimizing non-billable costs are critical. Adherence to the DOA for write-offs, non-billable time approvals, and requests for work continuance is mandatory. Submission of variation, KPI, and contract amendment requests and claims according to contract requirements is also a key responsibility.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess the "CA" qualification and have relevant experience in the field.

We seek individuals capable of collaborative work, delivering services across multiple client departments while adhering to commercial and legal requirements. A practical approach to solving complex issues and delivering insightful, actionable solutions is essential.
