This role is for a Manager in Tax, specifically within the Global Compliance and Reporting (GCR) team, focusing on the Financial Services (FS) sector in Mumbai.

Key responsibilities involve developing and implementing account strategies for Direct Tax (DT) offerings within targeted industry segments. This includes selling new solutions like managed services and developing distinct technology offerings as part of Go-To-Market initiatives.

You will enhance internal and external awareness of EY DT services, support proposal development, and build strong relationships across service lines and the Business Development team to uncover new client opportunities.

Responsibilities also extend to monitoring sales opportunities, pipeline, and wins, identifying cross-sell opportunities for Tax, Company Secretarial, and other services, and leading assignment planning, pricing, billing, and recovery to maximize fee opportunities.

You will develop sound, value-based solutions, apply technical knowledge to complex client challenges, understand macro and strategic issues, and develop deep industry and market insights. The role includes developing specialized competencies and attracting recognition as a technical resource, while contributing to firm profitability by generating additional work and supporting new client proposals.

Further duties encompass expanding opportunities with existing clients, acting on referrals, providing clients with perspectives on local and global market trends, and contributing to the development of new products and delivery methods. You will manage straightforward risk management issues, progressively taking on greater responsibility while ensuring compliance, and foster strong knowledge-sharing efforts to improve processes.

A proactive leadership role is expected, working on cross-service line engagements, mentoring team members, resolving people issues, and hiring talent for a team of 5-8 members.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a qualification such as CA or an MBA. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field is required.
