We are searching for a forward-thinking Engineering Manager to lead a key service group within our vital Decision Management Platform, focusing on advanced fraud detection solutions. This role is instrumental in advancing engineering excellence, enhancing delivery capabilities, and cultivating a culture rich in innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will guide engineering strategy to align with business objectives, mentor high-performing teams, and ensure the successful deployment of sophisticated software solutions.
Define and execute engineering strategies that align with overarching company goals. Lead cross-functional teams in the delivery of high-quality, scalable software products, adhering to timelines and budgets. Champion best practices in engineering, including DevOps, CI/CD, Observability, and Agile methodologies. Proactively identify and mitigate technical and delivery risks across various programs and initiatives. Build, mentor, and retain exceptional engineering teams through robust career development, coaching, and performance management. Foster an environment that promotes ownership, innovation, and ongoing learning. Establish clear objectives and expectations, providing regular feedback and support for individual development plans. Oversee the complete software delivery lifecycle, from initial requirements through to release and ongoing support. Continuously enhance engineering processes, tools, and metrics to optimize team performance and product quality. Ensure operational readiness, encompassing incident response, system monitoring, and service reliability.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field is preferred, though equivalent practical experience will be considered. You should possess 10-12 years of comprehensive experience in software engineering and architecture, including leadership roles on complex, mission-critical platforms.
A proven history of successfully delivering distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications is essential. Experience within fintech, digital payments, authentication, or identity systems is highly valued. A strong understanding of security principles, secure SDLC, PCI considerations, and compliance-driven architecture is required.
Familiarity with reliability engineering, observability platforms, and operational excellence practices is beneficial. Previous leadership experience in an organization undergoing significant platform evolution or transformation is advantageous.
Possess a deep comprehension of modern software architecture, cloud infrastructure, and service-oriented systems. A solid grasp of software operations, including monitoring, incident management, and performance tuning, is necessary. Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and resource planning is also expected.
Exceptional communication skills, executive presence, and the ability to simplify intricate technical topics for senior stakeholders are crucial. Outstanding leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and influence across all organizational levels, are paramount. Proficiency in translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable plans is key.
