Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, ensuring the recruitment and development of top talent. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, manage career progression, and identify individuals at risk of attrition. Provide timely feedback, coaching, and mentoring to staff at all levels. Emulate and promote Mastercard Way behaviors, recognizing contributions and driving employee engagement. Manage and optimize budgets, forecasts, and cost allocations to meet business needs. Provide strategic leadership for a variety of applications, systems, and software development methodologies. Benchmark and enhance engineering productivity, quality, and technology policy compliance. Foster knowledge sharing within the team to drive the reuse of patterns, libraries, and practices. Engage in task planning and code reviews for software engineering projects.

A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in People Management is required. Experience with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code, along with their effective use in the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC), is highly preferred. Demonstrate proficiency in implementing enterprise quality standards, processes, and tools, and developing build control strategies or QA tools/processes. Ability to interact with business and development teams to define test plans and schedules. Translate complex system requirements and specifications into test requirements and testing methods. Possess the ability to mentor peers and guide less experienced team members. Experience with automation testing tools like TestNG, Appium, Selenium, and Rest Assured is necessary. Proficiency in writing test scripts in Java. Solid understanding of the software testing life cycle, including test planning, design, execution, defect management, and reporting. Skills in designing effective test data strategies for various environments and SDLC phases. Experience in generating metrics and suggesting process improvements. Hands-on experience with Functional, Regression, System, and UAT Testing. Excellent debugging and root cause analysis capabilities. Strong communication and team handling skills. Good understanding and experience with software development processes such as Scrum, SAFe, Extreme Programming, and/or Lean. Hands-on experience with tools like Confluence, JIRA, and Rally. Proficiency in advanced object-oriented programming, design principles, refactoring, microservice development, and databases. Understanding and articulation of technical debt and operational issues to drive prioritization discussions with stakeholders. Ability to configure rules and build automation for code vulnerability scanning and software composition analysis using standard tools. Skills to define, organize, and report on test runs for releases, including various testing levels. Capability to perform debugging and troubleshooting on core, heap, and thread dumps. Skills to document and coach teams on development practices and coding guidelines. Understanding of use cases for advanced design patterns. Skills to orchestrate release workflows and pipelines for CI/CD using industry-standard tools. Ability to conduct various performance tests to understand application/service limits and behaviors. Provide automation support and engage in knowledge sharing. Lead project test teams, collaborate with business partners, vendors, and peer-level professionals. Provide inputs to the Automation team on system architecture, user journeys, and automation candidates. Identify complex automation efforts and work closely with the Automation team during functional reviews of automated scripts.
