We are seeking a Manager for Software Engineering to lead a crucial system within the Smart Data Commercial Platform. This role involves managing scrum teams to deliver on customer and platform commitments for our high-availability, high-volume systems serving a global network of issuing banks.

As a Manager, Software Engineering, you will formally supervise and coach development teams, ensuring the effective delivery of robust software solutions. You will be instrumental in driving positive change within our systems and processes to meet commitments efficiently. Cultivating agile best practices among teams and communicating progress and status to product teams, customers, and senior management are key aspects of this role.

We are looking for an experienced manager with a proven track record in leading development teams. Essential skills include effective communication with senior management and customers, coupled with solid experience in development or architecture to lead technical discussions. Strong Agile experience is highly valued, with an expectation to drive its adoption within a technology organization. Experience with Java, Spring, Hibernate, RESTful and SOAP web services, and GIT VCS is advantageous. Familiarity with SAFe and Agile tooling like Rally/ALM is a differentiator. Previous experience in financial services, particularly with compliance requirements like PCI DSS, is also beneficial.
