As a Manager, Software Engineering within our Services organization, you will spearhead the development of cutting-edge analytics applications. These applications leverage vast datasets from retail, banking, and consumer-focused entities to address complex business challenges. You will work with a next-generation platform that combines advanced analytics, sophisticated software architecture, and modern web technologies to derive critical insights for multi-million dollar business decisions.

In this role, you will formally lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing software engineering team. You will provide strategic direction for applications and software development methodologies, driving large-scale projects from conception through release. Key responsibilities include designing complex platform components with a focus on high-quality development, defining state-of-the-art service-oriented architectures, and actively contributing to software development tasks approximately 50% of the time.

Your role will also involve planning and scoping team features, building impactful features utilized by global organizations for significant financial decisions, and conducting rigorous code reviews to enhance code quality. You will be instrumental in shaping engineering processes, empowering the team to self-organize and operate effectively, and mentoring junior engineers. Collaboration with exceptional, passionate peers across teams is a vital aspect of this position.

We are seeking an experienced leader with a proven track record in managing, coaching, and guiding high-performing software development teams. A strong background in full-stack, data, and cloud technologies is essential, including experience with platforms like Databricks, AWS (Data Services, Agentic/ML Services like EMR, Agent Core, Bedrock), .NET/C#, Java, Spring Boot, React, Python, or Spark. You should possess expertise in solving complex problems and implementing scalable solutions.

Proficiency in advanced object-oriented programming, design principles, refactoring, microservice development, and database management is required. A solid understanding of web technologies and server-side development for microservices, including their integration with UI, is crucial. We value a passion for analytical problem-solving, creativity, self-direction, and the drive to excel in collaborative project environments. Prior leadership or mentorship experience, both technical and professional, is highly preferred.

While not strictly mandatory for all roles, experience with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code and their effective integration into the product development lifecycle is a significant advantage. A superior academic record with a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, coupled with strong written and verbal English communication skills, is expected.
