This role focuses on ensuring platform stability and health by fostering developer-run ownership and empowering developers to build resilient products. You will support developers with operational design, automation, capacity planning, and monitoring to create fault-tolerant, scalable products.
Key responsibilities include daily operations with a hyper-focus on triage, root cause analysis, and performing blameless post-mortems. The goal is proactive engagement early in the development lifecycle to manage production and change activities, maximizing customer experience and application value.
You will also focus on risk management, ensuring compliance and mitigation across all environments. Ultimately, this role aligns product and customer priorities with operational needs through continuous feedback.
A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, is required. Proficiency in coding languages such as Java, Spring Framework, or Python is essential.
Strong understanding of DevOps principles, configuration management, and experience in operational and resilience design for large-scale distributed systems are necessary. An appetite for change, curiosity for new technologies, and experience with algorithms, data structures, and scripting are highly valued.
We are looking for candidates with systematic problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, strong communication, and a sense of ownership. Experience with Kubernetes, containerization technologies (Docker, Azure Container Registry), and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is crucial. Leadership and mentoring skills are also essential.
