Join our Engineering team as a Site Reliability Engineering Manager in Bengaluru. This role is pivotal in shaping and implementing the SRE governance framework and operational model for our client's environment. You will collaborate with service delivery, engineering, operations, and SRE teams to enhance current practices, identify opportunities, and design a scalable, outcome-driven SRE operating model.

This position requires a blend of SRE technical acumen, IT operations leadership, service management expertise, and consulting skills. The successful candidate will translate operational challenges into a robust target operating model, encompassing governance, roles, service reliability, incident and problem management, operational readiness, metrics, and continuous improvement.

Furthermore, you will provide senior leadership during the transition from the existing model to the new SRE-led approach, ensuring a smooth and effective implementation.

- Define and establish the SRE governance framework and operational model. - Assess current client operational methods, identifying gaps and areas for improvement. - Design a scalable, standardized, and outcome-oriented SRE operating model. - Translate operational challenges into a practical target operating model. - Cover governance, roles, service reliability, incident/problem management, operational readiness, metrics, and continuous improvement. - Provide senior leadership during the transition to the SRE-led operating model. - Establish operational KPIs and reliability dashboards. - Manage stakeholders effectively, including senior client leadership.

- Minimum 12 years of experience in IT operations, SRE, DevOps, or related engineering fields. - At least 5 years in SRE/DevOps/reliability leadership roles. - Proven experience designing SRE governance frameworks and operating models for large organizations. - Demonstrated success in conducting current-state assessments and developing target operating models. - Expertise in defining SRE governance, including SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, reliability metrics, incident, and problem management. - Strong background in major incident management, problem management, and RCA. - Experience designing centralized, federated, or hybrid SRE/Operations models. - Experience coordinating with multiple application/product teams and distributed stakeholders. - Familiarity with service transition and operational readiness. - Solid understanding of ITIL/ITSM processes and their integration with SRE practices. - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Experience with observability platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog). - Experience with Kubernetes/container platforms and CI/CD. - Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required. Relevant certifications in SRE, cloud, or DevOps are advantageous.
