Join our Strategy, Risk & Transaction team as a Manager in Risk & Control, focusing on Regulatory & Financial Risk. This role is based in Bengaluru and offers a dynamic environment where you'll help entities mitigate risks and seize new opportunities. Your technical acumen will be crucial for effectively challenging first-line model owners and ensuring robust risk control.
Your responsibilities will span various actuarial domains, including valuation, business planning, financial reporting, pricing, and experience analysis. You will also manage par business operations. A key aspect involves contributing to risk model validation and engaging with business stakeholders to understand and address specific model requirements. You will be expected to liaise effectively, communicate complex information clearly to senior stakeholders, and maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics.
Key duties include leveraging strong quantitative and statistical skills, particularly within CCR or market risk areas. You will also be responsible for governance and monitoring activities, ensuring adherence to best practices. Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software packages is essential for day-to-day tasks.
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience. Essential competencies include a solid understanding of business modelling services, underpinned by a professional background in risk management and financial services. Strong oral and written communication skills are vital for effective stakeholder engagement and clear message delivery.
While user capacity with Prophet is sufficient, codic skills are not mandatory. Candidates should demonstrate technical strength and the ability to challenge model owners effectively. Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills are necessary to manage multiple priorities under pressure. Exceptional interpersonal skills, including active listening and presentation abilities, are also required.
