As a pivotal partner to Technology and Digital leadership, you will be instrumental in achieving end-to-end outcomes. Your responsibilities will encompass leading delivery on critical initiatives across various Technology Departments. This Senior Technical Program Manager position involves empowering teams and partners through meticulous planning, risk mitigation, and flawless execution of key initiatives. You will provide regular progress updates, coordinate inter-departmental efforts, and ensure the financial health of projects.

The primary focus of this role is managing a portfolio of work dedicated to enhancing internal tooling and services for WEX employees, directly contributing to operational efficiency and strategic goals.

Facilitate program planning sessions, aligning priorities with business objectives and adapting to changing requirements. Own and drive the end-to-end technical implementation of programs and workstreams focused on enhancing internal employee tools.

Create detailed project breakdowns, define milestones, identify risks, establish success metrics, and manage multi-quarter roadmaps in collaboration with engineering leadership. Monitor program execution, proactively surface risks to stakeholders, and facilitate necessary course corrections.

Engage with stakeholders across Technology, Product, and Solution Architecture to ensure visibility, provide updates, and address concerns. Foster transparent communication and alignment between teams, delivering clear and consistent status reports.

Identify potential risks and develop comprehensive mitigation strategies in partnership with accountable leaders. Proactively manage dependencies across projects, technologies, and teams to prevent delays.

Ensure adherence to standard project management tools and maintain high data hygiene for accurate reporting and capitalization. Track program performance against goals, leveraging data and metrics for continuous improvement.

A Bachelor of Science or Arts degree in a technical or information science field, or equivalent practical experience, is required.

Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in technical program management, overseeing complex, high-visibility projects with significant interdependencies. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with strong program management skills to drive execution across diverse, cross-functional initiatives.

Demonstrate a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and best practices. Solid knowledge of public and private digital certificates, root hierarchies, mTLS, SSO, and SAML is essential. Familiarity with common internal organizational tools for communication, work management, and software development processes is expected.

Strong experience with cloud infrastructure technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and a track record of driving technical transformation initiatives are crucial. Expertise in at least one Agile methodology, such as Scrum, is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proactive leadership, and a strong analytical mindset with effective problem-solving capabilities are necessary.
