As a key partner to Technology and Digital leadership, you will be instrumental in driving end-to-end outcomes. Your responsibilities will include leading delivery on critical initiatives across Technology Departments. At WEX, Senior Technical Program Managers empower their teams and partners to effectively plan, mitigate risks, and execute vital projects, while also providing transparent progress reports, coordinating inter-departmental efforts, and ensuring financial project health. This position will primarily concentrate on a portfolio of work and project execution aimed at improving internal tooling and services for WEX employees.

Facilitate continuous program planning sessions to align priorities with business goals, fostering close partnerships with technology leaders, solution architects, and product stakeholders. Own and drive end-to-end technical program implementation for enhancements to internal employee tooling, creating operational efficiencies and supporting strategic objectives.

Develop detailed work breakdowns, milestones, risk assessments, and success metrics for key initiatives, executing multi-quarter roadmaps collaboratively with engineering leadership. Monitor program execution, proactively identify risks, and recommend timely adjustments to stakeholders for course correction.

Manage stakeholder engagement across Technology, Product, and Solution Architecture teams, providing clear updates and addressing concerns. Ensure transparent communication and alignment between teams.

Identify potential program risks and develop robust mitigation strategies in collaboration with Tech and Product leaders, implementing corrective actions and escalating to senior leadership as needed.

Document and manage cross-project dependencies, proactively coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution and minimize delays.

Champion the use of standard project management tools, such as those within the Atlassian suite, maintaining high data hygiene standards for accuracy and integrity. Support accurate reporting and capitalization through Jira stewardship.

A Bachelor's degree in a technical or information science field, or equivalent practical experience, is required. Possess a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in technical program management, with a proven track record of overseeing complex, high-visibility projects with intricate interdependencies.

Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and experience collaborating with product, engineering, security, database administrators, and architects. Possess a solid grasp of digital certificates, root hierarchies, mTLS, SSO, and SAML. Familiarity with internal organizational tools for communication, work management, and software development is essential. Experience with cloud infrastructure like AWS, Azure, or GCP is required, alongside expertise in driving technical transformations using Agile methodologies such as Scrum.
