This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for ensuring user protection and fostering a trustworthy environment across Google's diverse product suite, including Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads.
You will collaborate globally and cross-functionally with engineers and product managers, proactively identifying and combating abuse and fraud with urgency. Your contribution will directly promote trust in Google and uphold the highest standards of user safety.
In this capacity, you will manage complex, ecosystem-level abuse-fighting initiatives, designing effective strategies and solutions by leveraging business judgment, AI foresight, and expertise in technical, legal, business, and policy domains. You will serve as a thought leader, guiding the end-to-end execution of multifaceted projects aimed at enhancing policy lifecycle management and ensuring clear communication of policy intent to all stakeholders.
Lead a global team of Policy Implementation and Communications specialists, setting strategic direction and monitoring progress against objectives.
Develop and implement next-generation Trust and Safety strategies for Ads and Shopping policy across various business areas, addressing critical issues such as user harm, scams, elections, and regulatory compliance.
Drive strategic cross-functional initiatives by fostering key relationships with senior leaders in Product, Engineering, Go-to-Market, Legal, and Public Policy. Shape policy roadmaps, manage policy updates, and oversee large-scale programs, influencing outcomes without direct authority.
Architect and deliver scalable, efficient business processes and systems designed to reduce friction in the customer experience and advance global harm mitigation efforts.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is essential.
Possess 13 years of experience in data analytics, cybersecurity, program management, business strategy, technology research, anti-abuse efforts, policy development, or a related field.
Demonstrate 5 years of experience in people management, including leading teams, hiring, mentoring, and retaining talent across international locations.
Preferred qualifications include a Master's or PhD in a relevant field, strong stakeholder management abilities, and proficiency in persuading senior leaders. Advanced AI fluency and a deep understanding of key internet policy issues are highly advantageous.
