A leadership opportunity exists for a seasoned Manager to drive enterprise data-platform architecture and roadmap initiatives using Microsoft Fabric and Azure services. This role involves assessing business objectives, current-state architectures, and data landscapes to select optimal architectural patterns and define a robust domain-oriented data architecture. You will establish principles, standards, security controls, and governance frameworks, while leading platform sizing, capacity planning, and cost optimization efforts.

Key responsibilities include defining requirements for identity, access, networking, privacy, and disaster recovery. You will also craft migration strategies for legacy systems and Azure-based platforms, ensuring adherence to architectural standards through reviews and oversight. This position requires leading technical proposals, proofs of concept, and client workshops, alongside engaging with senior stakeholders and mentoring architects to develop organizational capabilities.

Define enterprise data-platform architecture and roadmap leveraging Microsoft Fabric and Azure services. Assess business objectives, current architecture, data landscape, and migration priorities. Select appropriate architectural patterns across Fabric, Data Factory, Power BI, and Azure services. Establish architecture principles, security controls, governance frameworks, and reference architectures. Lead platform sizing, capacity planning, performance strategy, and cost optimization. Define requirements for identity, access, networking, privacy, and business continuity. Create migration strategies for legacy and cloud-based data platforms. Oversee multiple delivery teams and ensure adherence to architectural standards. Lead technical proposals, estimations, solution presentations, and client workshops. Engage with senior business, data, and infrastructure stakeholders. Mentor senior engineers and architects, fostering organizational Fabric capability. Maintain accountability for technical outcomes, platform quality, and scalability.

Extensive experience architecting enterprise cloud data and analytics platforms. Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure data services and Microsoft Fabric architecture. Strong knowledge of OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Factory, Spark, Delta Lake, Power BI, and real-time processing. Proficiency in enterprise data architecture, data mesh, data products, and dimensional modeling. Expertise in security architecture, Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, and private networking. Experience designing CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and observability models. Proven capability in capacity planning, performance engineering, and cost management. Experience leading large migration or modernization programs. Strong stakeholder communication, technical governance, estimation, and leadership skills. Ability to compare technology options and communicate architectural trade-offs. A B.Tech degree is required. This role is based in Kolkata, IN.
