This role is crucial for ensuring investment compliance by accurately interpreting client requirements, prospectuses, and investment mandates. You will be instrumental in translating these into effective coding within compliance systems for ongoing fund monitoring. Your expertise will also support the Investment Guideline Look-Back Review Programme, coordinating with internal and external teams to review investment guidelines across various mandates.

Key responsibilities include continuously enhancing compliance monitoring of guidelines and regulatory rules through rule testing and development. You will work to improve automated rule monitoring, ensuring its effectiveness. A significant part of the role involves liaising with global Investment Compliance colleagues to guarantee correct interpretation of investment restrictions coded in the system, collaborating with Client Services, Relationship Directors, Legal, and Product teams.

Additional duties involve sourcing and validating investment guideline documentation, performing quality reviews of completed interpretations and gap analyses, and supporting the maintenance of a centralized investment guideline repository. You will also be responsible for preparing documentation to support reviews and demonstrate adequate processes and controls in guideline interpretation and coding.

We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of 9 years of experience in the investment management industry, preferably within investment compliance, and a strong understanding of investment products. A CFA or a Bachelor of Business or Commerce degree is preferred. Essential skills include proven experience in investment compliance guideline rule coding and interpretation, alongside technological proficiency in writing high-quality, readable, reusable, and testable code.

Strategic thinking, strong facilitation and data gathering skills, effective problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines are vital. Experience with regulatory environments such as UCITS, SFC, FCA, and SEC is considered an added advantage.
