This role offers the opportunity to lead engineering efforts focused on foundational systems and customer-facing features that enable trustworthy AI at scale. You will be instrumental in shaping architectural decisions related to privacy-preserving AI, responsible AI frameworks, and accessibility, ensuring a secure and reliable AI ecosystem.
Lead multiple engineering teams in developing scalable, trustworthy AI experiences. Own architectural decisions for privacy-preserving AI, responsible AI frameworks, and accessibility.
Define and drive the technical strategy for privacy-preserving architectures, including federated learning and differential privacy, to protect customer data.
Build and scale teams focused on AI evaluation, safety guardrails for LLMs, and observability systems for model quality and trust metrics.
Collaborate with Product, Design, Legal, Policy, and Research teams to align priorities, manage trade-offs, and promote responsible AI standards across business units.
Cultivate engineering leaders and foster an inclusive team environment, promoting expertise in AI safety, privacy, and responsible system design.
We seek candidates with a minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering team management and 8 years of overall engineering experience. A proven track record of 8+ years in defining and developing multi-tier web services is essential.
Candidates should possess a strong understanding of engineering practices across the full software/hardware/networks development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, and live-site operations. Experience partnering with product or program management teams is also required, as is experience designing or architecting new and existing systems for reliability and scaling.
