Lead and develop a high-performing software engineering team, setting strategic direction and fostering growth through collaborative planning and project assignments. Own the technical vision, charter, and long-term roadmap for team software systems, prioritizing projects that align with organizational objectives and customer needs. Drive critical system design decisions by facilitating architectural discussions, balancing tradeoffs for scalability, maintainability, performance, and security. Establish operational mechanisms and metrics to monitor team performance and software health, proactively addressing risks and enhancing outcomes. Collaborate effectively across teams to align priorities, manage dependencies, and deliver integrated solutions, communicating ideas clearly through written and verbal channels.

Requires a minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in engineering team management. Proven experience in designing and architecting new and existing systems, focusing on reliability and scalability. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage high-performing teams. Experience collaborating with technical and product stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and influence product roadmaps. Expertise in leading engineering discussions on technology decisions and product strategy. Ability to work cross-functionally with diverse stakeholders, users, engineers, and leaders to build consensus. Experience with capacity planning and delivery estimation using team velocity metrics.
