This position is an integral part of the GDS Ethics Function, dedicated to supporting ethical conduct and managing sensitive investigations. You will gain extensive professional knowledge, understand global business operations, and collaborate with a diverse team to address complex ethics matters. The role provides a platform for continuous learning and professional development within a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
Lead and mentor ethics team members, supporting the Ethics Officer in managing employee grievances and investigations concerning workplace conduct, sexual harassment, and integrity issues. Oversee project and program management, including automation initiatives, and spearhead the development and implementation of compliance processes and standards aligned with internal policies.
Review investigation and reporting protocols for AI-related opportunities, and develop a deep understanding of corporate policies and geographical regulations. Provide support to local business functions for ethics-related policy compliance, and acquire technical knowledge of policy compliance to assist with employee queries. Prepare comprehensive case reports and ethics dashboards, and contribute to other risk management and ethics team projects. Collaborate closely with the Employee Relations and Legal teams to monitor cases and inquiries, represent the Ethics team in internal forums, and conduct awareness sessions for management.
A Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Commerce, Finance, Arts, Law, or HR is required, coupled with advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Significant experience, 8-10 years, in Operations, HR, or People Functions, with a minimum of 5-6 years in a Team Lead role, is essential. Candidates must have demonstrable experience handling inquiries, investigations, and drafting investigation reports, along with a solid understanding of basic inquiry management.
Prior experience in handling workplace grievances, including harassment, sexual harassment, ethics complaints, financial fraud, and forensic investigations, is crucial. A foundational understanding of compliance needs and previous support for ethics-related matters are also key qualifications. Ideally, candidates should possess an eye for efficiency, process improvements, strong planning and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and a sense of ownership. Flexibility to work extended hours during busy periods for high-quality, timely delivery is expected.
