This role involves managing a full-stack development team focused on platform development and integration, utilizing React for the front-end and Java/Kotlin for the back-end.

Spearhead the design and development of distributed, high-availability web applications using Java/J2EE technologies. Create and maintain responsive, reusable user-facing features with React. Partner with UX designers, product owners, and engineers for end-to-end feature delivery. Develop microservices with Spring Boot/Spring MVC in a distributed, multi-threaded setting. Collaborate across teams to modernize legacy components and implement new architectural patterns. Manage source code through CI/CD pipelines and ensure adherence to security directives. Implement shift-left security concepts and vulnerability remediation. Independently handle complex programming and development assignments, including off-shift support. Drive application development focused on business features and maintain high software quality standards.

A minimum of 8 years of application development experience is essential, with expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate/Spring Data JPA, and Spring WebFlux. Proficiency in designing, analyzing, programming, integrating, debugging, and testing software solutions is required. Experience developing web applications with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and frameworks like React/Angular is necessary. Candidates should possess experience in identifying technical challenges and proposing solutions, alongside designing large-scale systems for performance, scalability, and high availability. Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka, SQS, Pub/Sub) and containerized microservices (Docker/Kubernetes) is expected. A strong grasp of Git for source code management and experience with GitLab, GitHub, or Azure Repos are vital. Proficiency in unit testing with JUnit, Mockito, and Bruno, along with experience in application performance optimization and cloud security implementation on platforms like AWS, is also required. Understanding of modern web development security threats and best practices, along with familiarity with databases like DB2 and PostgreSQL, is necessary.
