This role is integral to our Credit Underwriting function, supporting corporate clients with comprehensive risk assessments and financial evaluations. You'll work within a leading strategy, risk, and transactions advisory practice, contributing to Deloitte's reputation for excellence.
This position emphasizes meticulous credit analysis, financial evaluation, and adherence to regulatory and financial risk guidelines. You will be a key player in ensuring the soundness of our credit portfolio and supporting business growth through robust risk management practices.
Conduct in-depth credit assessments for corporate clients, including thorough financial statement analysis, business viability studies, and competitive landscape evaluation.
Develop essential underwriting documentation, such as credit notes and renewal proposals, by integrating borrower financials, sector insights, and internal risk frameworks.
Provide critical support to the business unit through financial data spreading, verification, and detailed document review, alongside addressing portfolio-related inquiries.
Collaborate closely with Legal and Operations teams to ensure all facility and security documentation precisely aligns with approved terms and conditions.
Proactively monitor portfolio health via covenant tracking, exposure analysis, and early warning signal identification, escalating any deviations from approval criteria promptly.
A minimum of 2 to 6 years of experience in corporate credit analysis is essential.
Proficiency in advanced financial analysis techniques, including credit ratio interpretation, cash-flow evaluation, and understanding diverse lending structures.
Strong capabilities in financial modeling, advanced Excel functions, and rigorous data validation processes.
Solid understanding of credit policy interpretation, documentation governance, and internal controls.
A postgraduate degree or professional qualification such as CA, CFA, or FRM is highly preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in credit analysis fundamentals, financial ratios, corporate finance principles, and various banking products.
In-depth knowledge of credit controls, documentation standards, governance protocols, and audit-focused procedures is required.
