This role oversees critical revenue accounting functions, ensuring strict compliance with ASC 606 / IFRS 15 standards for professional service models. You will manage the month-end closing process for revenue, including journal entries, accruals, and deferrals.

Key responsibilities include reconciling timesheet data and WIP against the General Ledger, and maintaining accuracy in T&M billing. You will also be instrumental in writing, updating, and implementing corporate accounting policies for complex technology services contracts.

Further duties involve supervising balance sheet reconciliations, performing detailed revenue variance analyses, and strengthening internal controls for the entire billing-to-revenue cycle. You will track unbilled revenue, manage external and internal audits, and develop reports for revenue substantiation. Additionally, you will monitor direct costs to calculate project-level gross margins and review SOW financial clauses for correct accounting treatment.

Candidates must hold a Chartered Accountant (CA) certification or an equivalent professional accounting designation. A minimum of 7-9 years of progressive accounting experience is required, including at least 3-4 years in a dedicated Revenue Accountant or Controller role within IT staffing or technology consulting.

Deep expertise in ERP/PMS accounting modules such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle is essential. Familiarity with automated revenue recognition sub-ledgers or modules compliant with ASC 606 is also a mandatory requirement.
