Join our Technology & Transformation practice as a Senior SDET, focusing on automation within the retail banking sector. This role is designed for an experienced engineer who thrives on ensuring end-to-end quality in complex, microservices-driven systems. You'll move beyond script execution to deeply understand system behaviors and take full ownership of quality outcomes.

Your primary responsibilities will include validating service interactions and integrations end-to-end, integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions, and performing root cause analysis for defects. You will also collaborate closely with backend, payments, cloud, and product teams, contributing significantly to test strategy, planning, and execution. A key focus will be continuously improving automation coverage and overall quality practices.
Key activities involve: - Validating end-to-end service interactions and integrations. - Integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions). - Performing root cause analysis (RCA) and participating in defect triage. - Collaborating with backend, payments, cloud, and product teams. - Contributing to test strategy, planning, and execution. - Continuously improving automation coverage and quality practices.
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 8 years of experience in SDET/QA Automation roles, possessing strong programming expertise in Java. Essential hands-on experience includes API automation tools like REST Assured, with Postman/Newman as supporting tools. You should have proven experience testing API-first and microservices architectures, with a solid understanding of service contracts, mocking, stubbing, JSON/XML validation, API schema validation, and integration testing patterns. Domain exposure to Retail Banking (accounts, payments, cards, onboarding, transactions) is crucial.
Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Maven/Gradle, along with strong debugging skills using Linux, logs, and backend tracing, is required. A foundational understanding of API fundamentals, including endpoints, payloads, status codes, and authentication, is also a must. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is necessary.
