This Manager role within the National Assurance ASU - FAAS - Financial & Accounting Advisory Services team in Mumbai is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic sector-agnostic group. You will play a key role in enhancing confidence and trust in a complex world, serving the public interest and supporting economic growth.

As a Manager in FAAS, you will lead and execute projects, developing and implementing innovative financial accounting solutions. You'll identify business opportunities, manage client accounts, and mentor junior team members, promoting technical excellence. Integrating with other EY service lines for multi-disciplinary projects and contributing to thought leadership and marketing activities are also key aspects of this role.

Key responsibilities include managing GAAP conversions, consolidation implementation, accounting manuals, transaction support, financial reporting, IPO preparedness, and IFRS training. You will provide expert advice on complex accounting topics and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

To excel in this role, you must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or hold an equivalent certification such as CPA, ICAEW, or ACCA. A strong academic record with first or second-time passes for ICAI or equivalent is essential.

You should possess robust experience in IGAAP, IFRS, and/or US GAAP financial reporting, ideally within complex or large organizations, audit, advisory, transaction services, or multinational finance/M&A environments. A minimum of 6 years of relevant post-qualification experience is required. The ability to articulate complex accounting issues clearly, coupled with an advisory mindset and business development aptitude, is crucial. Specific experience in transactions, IPOs, complex consolidations, tax planning, or technical training is highly valued.
