The opportunity is for a Manager in National Assurance, specifically within the ASU - FAAS (Financial Accounting Advisory Services) team, based in Mumbai. National teams work across diverse industries, providing a well-rounded experience. The Assurance division aims to inspire confidence and trust by protecting the public interest, promoting transparency, supporting investor confidence and economic growth, and nurturing future business leaders. We assist clients by ensuring compliance with audit standards, providing clear perspectives to audit committees, and delivering critical information to stakeholders. Our service offerings include External Audit, FAAS, IFRS & US GAAP conversion, IPO support, and Corporate Treasury - IFRS 9 accounting.

Manage and execute FAAS projects, developing and implementing innovative solutions. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, managing client accounts as appropriate. Mentor junior team members, fostering technical excellence and continuous learning. Collaborate with other EY service lines on multidisciplinary projects. Contribute to thought leadership and actively participate in marketing initiatives.

Key FAAS solutions include: - GAAP conversions (IGAAP to Ind-AS, reverse conversions for overseas acquisitions). - Consolidation implementation and accounting manuals. - Transaction support and financial reporting (IFRS impact, EBITDA analysis, carve-out accounting). - Tax and tax reporting advisory services. - IPO preparedness assessment and project management. - IFRS training and ad-hoc accounting support for new business models.

To qualify for this role, you must possess:

A professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ICAEW, or ACCA.

Minimum of 6 years of relevant post-qualification experience.

Strong expertise in IGAAP and/or IFRS and/or US GAAP financial reporting, ideally within complex/large companies, audit/advisory/transaction verticals, or MNC finance/M&A environments.

Proven ability to simplify complex accounting and financial reporting issues.

An advisory mindset with the capability to develop client solutions, supported by technical experts.

Business development acumen, with a strong track record expected for senior roles.

Specific experience in at least one of the following: - Transactions (acquisitions, carve-outs, demergers, restructuring). - IPO preparation, including listing rules. - Complex consolidation structures in MNCs, including ERP/consolidation IT system implementation. - Tax planning and complex structures. - Developing and delivering technical training. - Specific financial reporting topics like revenue recognition, financial instruments, or off-balance sheet financing.

Strong project management and excellent communication skills are essential.
