This Manager role is part of the National Assurance team within the ASU - FAAS - Financial & Accounting Advisory Services division in Chennai. The National division consists of sector-agnostic teams providing diverse industry experience. Assurance aims to inspire confidence and trust by protecting the public interest, promoting transparency, and nurturing future business leaders. We assist clients by ensuring compliance with audit standards, providing clear perspectives to audit committees, and delivering critical stakeholder information.

Drive technical excellence in fund financial statement preparation and review under IFRS/Ind AS or US GAAP for Private Markets (credit, equity, real estate, public, wealth management) within the WAM industry. Ensure accurate and timely delivery of month-end PnL and NAV. Prepare NAV Packs, Board Packs, and Investor Allocations. Leverage experience with Fund Accounting platforms like Yardi, Investran, and LemonEdge. Utilize SQL, Python, Alteryx, Anaplan, Confluence, and JIRA. Apply techno-functional expertise for data migration and transformation in private markets. Employ strong core capabilities including requirements gathering, gap analysis, process mapping, leading business testing, and documentation within an Agile environment.

Manage daily journal entries, management fee calculations, accrued expense reimbursements, investment valuations, financial and investor reports, and ad hoc reporting. Maintain strong knowledge of Real Estate accounting principles per IFRS and US GAAP. Finalize and consolidate subsidiary/SPV/Prop Co books of accounts. Scrutinize ledgers and analyze subsidiary accounts. Process capital calls, distributions, and waterfall distributions efficiently. Collaborate effectively within a virtual global team, managing cross-border relationships. Uphold accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure adherence to GAAP standards (IFRS or US GAAP). Perform middle office functions including P&L analysis, daily cash projections, FX transfer calculations, and client contribution/redemption checks. Review general ledger exceptions, identify causes, and implement necessary adjustments. Accrue daily/monthly non-security related expenses, including management and financing accruals. Conduct daily/monthly securities pricing analysis. Regularly review and test control processes to ensure quality client service. Develop process checklists for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness. Liaise with client service teams for timely and accurate financial information communication to clients.

We are seeking individuals with a Chartered Accountant or CPA qualification. A strong background in Fund Accounting is essential.
