This Manager role within the National Assurance team, specifically in ASU - FAAS - Financial & Accounting Advisory Services, is based in Chennai. National teams offer diverse industry experience across sectors. Our Assurance division inspires confidence and trust, serving the public interest by promoting transparency, supporting investors, and nurturing future business leaders. We assist clients by ensuring compliance with audit standards, providing clear perspectives to audit committees, and delivering critical information to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include technical excellence in preparing and reviewing fund financial statements under IFRS/Ind AS or US GAAP for Private Markets (private credit, private equity, real estate funds, public funds, wealth management). You will ensure timely and accurate delivery of month-end P&L and NAV, prepare NAV packs, board packs, and investor allocations. Experience with fund accounting platforms like Yardi, Investran, or LemonEdge is beneficial.

We seek strong practical experience in SQL, Python, Alteryx, Anaplan, Confluence, and JIRA. Your role will involve techno-functional expertise as a fund accounting BA for data migration and transformation within private markets. Essential skills include requirements gathering, gap analysis, process mapping, leading business testing, and strong documentation within an Agile environment.

Additional duties involve booking daily journal entries, calculating management fees and accrued expenses, valuing investments, preparing financial and investor reports, and ad hoc reporting. A solid understanding of real estate accounting principles under IFRS and US GAAP is required. You will finalize and consolidate subsidiary books of accounts, scrutinize ledgers, and perform middle office functions such as P&L analysis and cash projections.

Ensure robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls are maintained to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial transaction recording according to GAAP standards. Review general ledger exceptions, identify causes, and implement necessary adjustments. Accrue daily/monthly non-security related expenses and perform securities pricing analysis. Regularly review and test control processes to ensure high-quality client service. Create process checklists for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness. Interact with client service teams for timely and accurate financial information communication.

To excel in this role, you should be a Chartered Accountant or CPA. We are looking for individuals with strong experience in Fund Accounting, particularly within the private markets sector.
