This role is within the National Assurance team, specifically in the FAAS (Financial Accounting Advisory Services) - Financial & Accounting Advisory division, based in Bangalore or Gurgaon.

Provide expert technical accounting advice on complex matters, including business combinations, consolidations, and financial instruments. Coordinate with on-shore teams to research and resolve accounting issues related to U.S. GAAP and IFRS. Manage projects from initial client pitches to audit closing, ensuring effective information flow and cross-functional team coordination. Conduct research on emerging issues, regulations, and industry practices. Develop white papers on significant accounting topics. Prepare financial statements, including accounting policies and governance.

Key responsibilities also include providing accounting and regulatory support for accounting changes, offering comprehensive technical guidance, and conducting research and analysis on accounting issues. You will be expected to prepare financial statements, manage accounting processes, and support audits.

Candidates should possess a Chartered Accountant qualification. A minimum of 10-12 years of post-qualification experience in Assurance is required, with at least 3 years specifically in Financial Accounting and Advisory Services. Proven experience in an advisory role and the ability to manage teams of 20+ people are essential. Advanced skills in technical accounting, including IFRS 15 and 16, and GAAP conversions (IFRS, US GAAP) are necessary. Experience in a Big 4 or top-tier consulting firm, leading solutions or service lines, is highly valued. Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills are crucial. Flexibility for short-notice travel is also a requirement.
