This Manager role is part of the National Assurance team, specifically within the Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) group. The National team comprises sector-agnostic professionals who work across diverse industries, offering a broad and enriching experience. FAAS plays a crucial role in inspiring confidence and trust within a complex global landscape by protecting the public interest, promoting transparency, and supporting economic growth. Lead technical accounting advisory on intricate subjects, including business combinations, consolidations, shared-based payments, and financial instruments like debt and equity. Coordinate effectively with onshore technical accounting teams to understand their challenges and provide diligent research support on U.S. GAAP and IFRS accounting pronouncements as needed. Take primary responsibility for project management, ensuring seamless information flow and appropriate coordination among cross-functional team members within the finance function. Manage accounting matters through all project stages, from initial client engagements to audit closure. Exhibit strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing abilities. Demonstrate the capacity to research client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies.

Responsibilities also include providing comprehensive technical accounting guidance to clients on complex issues and transactions such as business combinations, consolidations, stock-based compensation, revenue, and lease accounting. Conduct thorough research and analysis on accounting issues, meticulously documenting findings and proposing effective solutions. Prepare financial statements, including accounting policies and governance frameworks, and oversee accounting processes. Provide crucial audit support and governance expertise. Additionally, possess flexibility and a willingness to travel on short notice as required.

We seek seasoned professionals with a strong foundation in assurance and financial accounting advisory. Essential qualifications include being a Chartered Accountant. Candidates should possess extensive experience in an advisory capacity, with a proven ability to manage teams of 20 or more individuals. Advanced expertise in technical accounting matters and the creation of whitepapers on significant topics like consolidation and IFRS 15/16 is crucial.

Demonstrated experience in GAAP conversion across various standards, including IFRS and US GAAP, is required. Prior hands-on consulting experience as a lead for solutions or service lines at a Big 4 or top-tier consulting firm is highly valued. Qualified Chartered Accountants (CA), CPAs (US), or ACCAs (UK) with 10-12 years of post-qualification experience in Assurance, including at least 3 years in Financial Accounting and Advisory Services, will be well-suited for this role.
