This role is within the National Assurance team, focusing on Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) in Bangalore.
Our Assurance team inspires confidence and trust in a complex world by protecting the public interest, promoting transparency, and supporting economic growth. We help clients by ensuring regulatory compliance, providing robust perspectives to audit committees, and delivering critical information to stakeholders. Our services span External Audit, FAAS, IFRS & US GAAP conversions, IPO support, and Corporate Treasury accounting.
Lead technical accounting advisory on complex topics, including business combinations, consolidation, stock-based payments, and financial instruments. Coordinate with on-shore teams to research and resolve accounting issues related to U.S. GAAP and IFRS pronouncements.
Manage projects effectively, ensuring smooth information flow and cross-functional coordination. Handle diverse accounting matters from client pitches to audit closing. Demonstrate strong communication and technical writing abilities, along with the capacity to research emerging issues, regulations, and technologies.
Provide comprehensive technical accounting guidance, addressing intricate client issues and transactions. This includes white paper writing, accounting process improvement, financial statement preparation, and audit support. Flexibility for travel is required.
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA (US), or ACCA (UK) with 10-12 years of post-qualification experience in Assurance. At least 3 years of specialized Financial Accounting and Advisory Services (FAAS) experience is essential.
Demonstrate advanced skills in technical accounting matters, including creating white papers on significant issues like consolidation and IFRS 15/16. Experience with GAAP conversions (IFRS, US GAAP) and hands-on consulting at a Big 4 or top-tier firm is highly valued.
Proven ability to manage teams of 20+ people and work collaboratively across client departments. A practical, insightful, and creative approach to problem-solving is expected. Adaptability, curiosity, and positive energy are key attributes.
