This role is for a Manager within Assurance, specifically in the National ASU FAAS - Financial & Accounting Advisory Services team based in Bangalore.

Drive technical excellence in accounting advisory on complex topics such as business combinations, consolidations, shared-based payments, and financial instruments. Coordinate with onshore technical accounting teams, providing research assistance on U.S. GAAP and IFRS pronouncements. Manage projects, ensuring effective information flow and cross-functional coordination within the finance function. Engage in all stages of accounting matters, from client pitches to audit closings. Conduct research on client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies.

Key responsibilities include providing accounting and regulatory support for accounting changes and special matters, writing white papers, and offering comprehensive technical accounting guidance for complex issues. You will conduct research and analysis on accounting matters, documenting findings and proposing solutions. Responsibilities also involve preparing financial statements, outlining accounting policies and governance, optimizing accounting processes, and providing audit support.

To excel in this role, you must be a Chartered Accountant with experience in an advisory capacity. You should be adept at managing teams of 20+ individuals and possess advanced skills in technical accounting, including writing white papers on significant issues like consolidation, IFRS 15, and 16. Experience with GAAP conversions across various standards, including IFRS and US GAAP, is essential. A background in hands-on consulting at a Big 4 or top-tier consulting firm, serving as a solution or service line lead, is highly valued. Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA (US), or ACCA (UK) are required, along with 10-12 years of post-qualification experience in Assurance, including at least 3+ years specifically in Financial Accounting and Advisory services.
