The National Assurance team comprises sector-agnostic professionals working across diverse industries, offering a well-rounded experience. Within Assurance, our purpose is to inspire confidence and trust in a complex world by protecting the public interest, promoting transparency, and nurturing future business leaders. We assist clients by ensuring compliance with audit standards, providing clear perspectives to audit committees, and delivering critical information to stakeholders. Our service offerings span External Audit, Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS), IFRS & US GAAP conversions, IPO support, and Corporate Treasury services.

Provide technical accounting advisory on complex topics including business combinations, consolidation, share-based payments, and financial instruments. Coordinate with onshore technical accounting teams, researching U.S. GAAP and IFRS pronouncements for accounting issues.

Take primary responsibility for project management, ensuring effective information flow and coordination among cross-functional finance teams. Manage accounting matters through all project stages, from initial client pitches to audit closing. Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills. Research client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies.

Be prepared for flexibility and potential short-notice travel. Offer expertise in accounting and regulatory support for accounting changes and special matters. Develop white papers on significant accounting issues. Provide comprehensive technical accounting guidance, addressing complex issues like business combinations, consolidation, stock-based compensation, revenue, and lease accounting. Conduct thorough research and analysis on accounting issues, documenting findings and proposing solutions. Prepare financial statements, including accounting policies and governance documentation, and support accounting processes and audits.

Possess a Chartered Accountant qualification.

Demonstrate experience working in an advisory role and managing teams of 20 or more professionals. Hold advanced skills and experience in technical accounting matters, including writing whitepapers on significant issues such as consolidation and IFRS 15/16.

Experience in GAAP conversion across different standards, including IFRS and US GAAP, is essential. Prior hands-on consulting experience at a Big 4 or top-tier consulting firm, serving as a lead for solutions or service lines, is required. A Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA (US), or ACCA (UK) designation is necessary. You should have 10-12 years of post-qualification experience in Assurance, with at least 3 years specifically in Financial Accounting and Advisory Services.
