This role is within our National Assurance team, focusing on Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) for finance transformation initiatives. Assurance's purpose is to inspire confidence and trust, serving the public interest by promoting transparency, supporting investor confidence, and nurturing future business leaders. We assist clients by ensuring compliance with audit standards, providing clear perspectives to audit committees, and delivering critical information to stakeholders. Our service offerings include External Audit, FAAS, IFRS & US GAAP conversion, IPO support, and Corporate Treasury services.

Collaborate within a team to implement finance transformation strategies, encompassing financial close, consolidation processes, and R2R re-engineering. Provide functional support for ERP system implementations within finance departments and manage project lifecycles, including shared service center setup.

Gathers and analyzes business requirements, conducting As-Is and To-Be assessments, and maturity evaluations. Leverage data analytics and FP&A techniques to drive insights. Manage senior client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and resolving client issues with bespoke solutions.

Deliver innovative services as part of a project team, typically comprising 2-10 EY members. Develop compelling business cases for finance function changes and identify essential technological requirements. Present structured findings, both verbally and in writing, to client peer groups. Take ownership of revenue targets and support leadership in achieving growth objectives.

Essential qualifications include being a Chartered Accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, CIPFA) or equivalent, coupled with a Master of Business Administration. A minimum of 8 years of experience in Finance Transformation is required.

Functional implementation experience or certifications in SAP/S4 HANA, Oracle Applications, Blackline, BPC, Hyperion, Workiva, Board, or Lean/Six Sigma are desirable. Experience with process transitions and designing finance operating models, particularly in Record to Report (R2R), FP&A, and finance transformation projects, is highly valued.

Proficiency in R2R/ATR process standardization and drafting design blueprints, along with functional consulting for large ERP transformations (S4 HANA/Oracle Cloud), Blackline, Anaplan, RPA, and Microsoft Dynamics is expected. Strong project management, stakeholder management, and change management skills are crucial. A basic to moderate understanding of accounting standards like IFRS and US GAAP is necessary.

Candidates should demonstrate a proven ability to embrace new challenges, adapt swiftly, and engage in continuous learning. A strong work ethic and effective collaboration within a consulting team are essential. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required. Willingness to travel internationally for extended periods is a must. Experience managing profit and loss, with a focus on business development and account penetration, is also important.
