This role involves leading a team of Business Analysts to analyze and resolve complex customer business issues. You will be instrumental in developing solutions and ensuring business requirements are met, while also managing the product backlog and its maturity. A key responsibility is to ensure that both your team and downstream stakeholders clearly understand the implications of any changes.

The successful candidate will drive business analysis activities across the full project lifecycle, focusing on new and existing products and functionality within our systems. This position will support UK and European business projects, requiring strong relationship management skills with various business contacts to maintain superior client service.

Lead a team of Business Analysts, ensuring the production of data dictionaries and clear documentation of business processes.

Address and support UK and European business projects for new and existing products, encompassing the full spectrum of business analyst activities.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders to ensure exceptional client service.

Translate complex business issues into technical implications and ensure business requirements are met.

Drive solution discussions, produce solution design documents, and define project scope and specifications.

Oversee the analysis effort from initiation to completion, ensuring stakeholder alignment and approvals.

Ensure delivered solutions are fit for purpose and meet all business requirements across multiple system groups.

Coordinate functionality across various system projects, promoting reusable components through service-oriented patterns.

Act as a proxy customer, facilitating clear communication between development teams and stakeholders.

Drive user acceptance criteria and coordinate with onshore-offshore teams in the UK and India.

Engage with third-party partners and suppliers, and contribute to BA forums and process improvement initiatives.

A minimum of 10–15 years of experience in Business Analysis, with significant leadership experience, is required. You must possess a strong strategic mindset and the ability to operate effectively at both enterprise and delivery levels. Deep expertise in business architecture, capability modeling, and process transformation is essential.

Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with proven experience influencing senior executives, are crucial. You will need advanced problem-solving and analytical capabilities, supported by a data-driven approach. A solid understanding of Agile, SAFe, Lean, or hybrid delivery models is necessary.

Experience within the financial services sector, particularly in Retirement, Wealth, or Pensions, is highly desirable. Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership presence are key. Proficiency in writing user stories, leading walkthroughs, and conducting extensive data analysis to derive business insights is expected. You should also be skilled in writing SQL queries, API contracts in Swagger, and have experience with business process re-engineering and gap analysis.
