Our team's mission is to ensure online safety and uphold Google's commitment to its users. We are expanding our focus beyond traditional product protections to address emerging threats such as brand safety, controversial content, violent extremism, and political interference. This expansion highlights our dedication to advancing user protections across Google's diverse product ecosystem.

As a leader in this space, you will guide a team, act as a thought leader, and excel as an operator. Your passion for combating abuse, unwavering focus on user-centricity, and ability to foster a high-performing team will drive excellent business outcomes. Collaboration with key stakeholders will be essential to enhance operational performance and reduce abuse rates.

Lead critical cross-functional initiatives by collaborating with executive stakeholders from product, engineering, legal, PR, and public policy. Influence long-term technical roadmaps, ensure effective policy rollouts, and champion safer-by-design product features.

Build and scale a team of subject matter experts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and psychological safety. Ensure your team remains resilient and high-performing while navigating the dynamic and sensitive nature of global ads content and policies.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field, along with experience or education in machine learning. Proficiency in SQL, experience building dashboards, data collection and transformation, visualization, or experience with scripting/programming languages like Python is highly valued. Experience working with engineering and product teams to develop tools or automation for user safety, and close collaboration with policy teams are also beneficial.
