Spearhead the entire lifecycle of SAP ABAP solutions, from design and development to testing, deployment, and ongoing support. This includes comprehensive management of RICEFW objects such as reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.

Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and architects to translate complex requirements into effective technical solutions. Conduct thorough reviews of functional specifications, providing detailed feasibility assessments, effort estimations, and risk analyses.

Prepare and scrutinize technical specifications, solution designs, development standards, and deployment plans. Lead technical design workshops, offering expert recommendations on SAP development strategies. Manage technical delivery across various project phases, including implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and support.

Conduct rigorous code reviews to uphold SAP development standards, security protocols, and performance benchmarks. Ensure the successful completion of unit testing, defect resolution, and technical validation prior to deployment. Provide critical technical leadership for intricate development tasks, production issues, and performance challenges.

Proactively manage technical risks, issues, and dependencies, communicating them effectively to project leadership. Coordinate seamlessly with distributed teams, including onsite, offshore, client, and functional groups, as well as basis, security, and infrastructure specialists.

Support critical release planning, transport management, cutover activities, and post-go-live stabilization. Monitor team productivity, quality, and delivery performance, while mentoring junior and senior consultants to foster their professional growth. Contribute to project planning, resource allocation, proposal development, and client presentations.

Identify opportunities for automation, reusable assets, and process improvements to drive technical innovation. Ensure all technical solutions adhere to regulatory, audit, validation, and documentation requirements.

A minimum of 10-15 years of extensive SAP ABAP development experience is essential, including demonstrable experience in a technical lead or managerial capacity. You should possess strong hands-on expertise in developing and managing RICEFW objects.

Your technical acumen must encompass a deep understanding of ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, modularization techniques, function modules, and object-oriented ABAP. Proficiency in classical and interactive reports, ALV reports, and custom application development is required.

Significant experience with various interface technologies like IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs, proxies, web services, and file-based integration is crucial. You should also be adept at conversion and migration techniques using BDC, LSMW, BAPIs, and custom tools.

Strong knowledge of enhancement techniques, including BAdIs, user exits, customer exits, enhancement spots, and both implicit and explicit enhancements, is necessary. Experience with output management solutions such as Smart Forms, SAPscript, and Adobe Forms, along with SAP Business Workflow or Flexible Workflow, is expected.

Exceptional debugging, root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, and performance-optimization skills are paramount. You must have proven experience in reviewing technical designs, code quality, performance, security, and development standards.

Demonstrated ability in technical estimation, planning, work allocation, delivery tracking, and risk management is vital. The capability to manage technical teams and deliver solutions across geographically distributed teams is a must.

Excellent client-facing, stakeholder-management, presentation, and communication skills are required. The ability to juggle multiple priorities, workstreams, and deliverables within a complex project environment is key.

Extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, conversion, or support projects is highly valued. Familiarity with CDS views, AMDP, OData services, SAP Gateway, and ABAP Development Tools in Eclipse is expected.

An understanding of SAP Fiori architecture and backend development for Fiori applications is beneficial. Knowledge of RAP, SAP BTP, side-by-side extensibility, and modern SAP development approaches is desirable.

A solid grasp of SAP clean-core principles and extensibility guidelines is important. Experience with SAP HANA performance optimization and code pushdown techniques is a plus.

Exposure to integration platforms like SAP Integration Suite or SAP Process Integration/Process Orchestration is advantageous. Experience with Agile, SAP Activate, DevOps, continuous integration, and automated testing practices is preferred.

Experience in estimation, proposal preparation, solution presentations, and pre-sales activities is valuable. While SAP certifications in ABAP, S/4HANA, SAP BTP, or related areas are preferred, they are not mandatory.

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Relevant SAP certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
