This role focuses on designing and implementing API-led connectivity and enterprise integration patterns across hybrid platforms. You will be instrumental in driving the modernization of IBM zSeries applications into modern microservices-based architectures, ensuring robust security and adherence to integration standards. Collaboration with project managers and stakeholders is key to providing progress updates, managing risks, and identifying innovation opportunities within Agile delivery models and DevOps practices.
Develop and implement API-led connectivity and enterprise integration solutions on hybrid platforms. Define and review comprehensive end-to-end technical designs, security protocols, and integration standards. Facilitate and guide z/OS EE Connect API enablement for legacy system integration. Lead the modernization of IBM zSeries applications (COBOL, DB2, CICS) towards a microservices architecture. Communicate project progress, identify risks, and present innovation opportunities to project managers and stakeholders. Operate within Agile frameworks and support DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD and containerized deployments.
Requires strong proficiency with IBM zSeries applications, including COBOL, DB2, and CICS. Demonstrated hands-on experience with z/OS EE Connect API enablement is essential. Expertise in REST API Design, utilizing standards like RAML or JSON. Proven experience in mainframe modernization through microservices architecture. Deep understanding of API connectivity patterns and API security best practices. Familiarity with Enterprise Integration Patterns using Kafka, GCP Pub/Sub, IBM CDC, and various APIs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration.
