Manage and administer enterprise-level Unix/Linux systems, ensuring optimal performance and stability.

Lead system patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance management using enterprise tools.

Design and implement automation frameworks using scripting (Bash, Python) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, leading incident bridges and performing root cause analysis.

Configure, upgrade, and maintain Linux servers, including OS migrations and lifecycle management.

Provide expertise in clustering, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.

Collaborate on infrastructure roadmaps, hardware, and storage optimization.

Execute capacity and configuration management, analyzing system utilization for improvements.

Adhere to ITIL processes for incident, problem, change, and release management.

Leverage knowledge of virtualization and cloud platforms (VMware, AWS, Azure, GCP).

Participate in data center operations, server migrations, and large-scale transformation projects.

Implement and manage enterprise monitoring and logging tools for proactive reliability.

Drive automation initiatives and contribute to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.

Must hold a graduate degree, such as B.Tech, B.E., or MCA, or an equivalent qualification.

A minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience as a Linux/Unix System Administrator in enterprise settings is required.

Possess expertise in at least two UNIX flavors, with mandatory Linux proficiency, and preferred experience in AIX, Solaris, or HP-UX.

Demonstrate a deep understanding of Linux OS internals, performance tuning, and system architecture.

Exhibit strong proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) and good exposure to Python, along with hands-on experience in automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

Showcase excellent troubleshooting skills for complex system issues and experience leading critical incident bridges.

Possess strong knowledge of clustering technologies (Veritas, Pacemaker, Red Hat Cluster) and experience supporting high availability environments.

Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V) and exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is essential.

Experience with ITIL processes and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy is expected.

Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent stakeholder management and decision-making abilities.
