Serve as the primary legal point of contact for business clients, addressing complex inquiries through Global Frontline intake channels. Provide practical legal support with a high degree of autonomy, identifying issues and risks, and consulting with attorneys or subject matter experts as needed. Draft, review, and negotiate legal and business documents, applying Microsoft policies and approved legal guidance to facilitate client work while ensuring proper escalation and follow-through.
Develop a deep understanding of Microsoft's businesses, commercial priorities, CELA procedures, and relevant legal frameworks. Apply regional and cultural nuances to deliver pragmatic, business-centric support. Efficiently manage a high volume of diverse matters across multiple clients, priorities, and regions, making sound judgments on risk, prioritization, escalation, and resource allocation.
Identify recurring client needs, readiness gaps, and process inefficiencies. Collaborate with legal professionals to create practical guidance, playbooks, intake protocols, training materials, and self-service resources for consistent and deliberate work intake. Analyze service data and stakeholder feedback to detect trends, assess quality, and propose enhancements to Global Frontline's scope, processes, and client experience.
Contribute to redesigning repeatable legal work for enhanced scale and speed. Translate legal and business requirements into optimized workflows, partnering with legal operations, technology, and engineering teams for solution implementation. Support the responsible integration of automation and AI-enabled capabilities into legal workflows, potentially leading or contributing to projects that drive more effective working methods within Global Frontline.
Requires a Bachelor's Degree with at least 5 years of experience in paralegal, legal administration, or a related field. Alternatively, a Paralegal Certification recognized for the work location, coupled with 6 years of experience in paralegal, legal administration, or a similar domain, is acceptable. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
Preferred qualifications include experience managing complex legal or compliance matters with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong judgment regarding risk, prioritization, and escalation. Experience working directly with business clients and collaborating effectively across legal, operational, or technical teams is highly valued. Proficiency in written and verbal communication is essential.
Additional desirable experience encompasses roles within an in-house legal department, legal service provider, law firm, compliance function, or legal operations setting. Experience supporting a global organization or international client base across various regions and time zones is beneficial. Proven ability to improve legal processes or workflows and develop scalable legal resources is a plus, as is experience utilizing data, technology, automation, or AI-enabled tools to enhance legal service delivery.
