This role involves a cross-functional approach to engineering, focusing on both business and technical needs to deliver high-quality products that meet user requirements. The position offers autonomy within established guidelines, allowing for procedural modifications as long as quality and timeliness standards are met.
Collaborate with customers, marketing, and clinical teams to define and refine system requirements and functionality. Translate functional needs into system goals, considering quality, reliability, usability, manufacturability, and cost. Partner with clinical, software, and product teams to shape the digital and clinical application roadmap for mobile x-ray systems. Drive the definition, design, and implementation of next-generation products through an inclusive system design process, engaging cross-functional teams. Assume responsibility for delivering technical content and quality management deliverables. Guide technical teams in defining designs, from high-level architecture to technology selection and evaluation. Serve as the primary author and reviewer for system architecture, test designs, design descriptions, and customer documentation. Conduct trade-off studies and lead the synthesis of optimal designs. Champion the implementation of the best designs and establish System Verification & Validation strategies. Oversee risk management, design defect management, and system design reviews. Manage post-production activities, including customer complaint analysis, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure regulatory and quality requirements are met and closed before approving Design Control FDRs and NPI program milestones. Complete all required Quality & Compliance training within designated timelines.
A Bachelor’s Engineer Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) is required. Extensive experience in Engineering/Technology and Systems Engineering is essential for this position. Strong clinical knowledge and practical experience with digital and AI applications are necessary. Demonstrated broad exposure to systems design and significant technical depth in digital software and systems are expected. Experience within the imaging healthcare domain is advantageous. Hands-on experience working collaboratively with clinical and product teams to define scope and feature requirements is desired.
